MILDRED GALIYAS KORENY on April 29, 2020. Born into a loving Serbian Orthodox family on November 1, 1932, Mildred was the youngest child of the late George and Jennie Galiyas of Camden Hill in West Mifflin. Beloved Wife of the late John H. Koreny (1997). Loving Mom of John D., Don (Jill), Rob (Mary Rose) and Gary Koreny. Baby Sister of the late George, David, Peter, Mitchell, Steven, Stanley and Violet. Loving 'Gram' of Adam, Brigette and the late Brian Koreny. Dear 'Baba' of Nicholas Koreny. Also survived by an extended family of many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mildred was a good neighbor and friend to many in the Brierly Terrace area of West Mifflin for more than sixty years. She was the matriarch and diligent manager of all Koreny family activities. She was also the proud steward of her Serbian American family traditions taking great pride in her cooking, baking and celebrating family events and holidays throughout the Orthodox Church calendar year. Mildred was a very faithful member of the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Homestead. A traditional Funeral Service will be private. Interment at St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery, West Mifflin.
