Robert G. Moses, Sr., passed away early on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his home in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. He was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Donora, PA to the late Elias and Velma (Solomon) Moses. He and his late sister Doris, and late brother Bill, grew up in Donora and Monongahela, PA.

It was in high school where he met the love of his life, his late wife of 70-plus years, Helen (Kline) Moses, who preceded him in death in October of 2022.
He attended the University of Pittsburgh and in 1952, married Helen. Shortly after their marriage, Robert served in the Korean War as a combat engineer, 70th Battalion, U.S. Army.

Robert was a founding member of Holy Spirit Church, now part of the Triumph of the Holy Cross. He was President of the Holy Name Society and served as an usher for more than 50 years.
He led his community in many ways, as Chairman of the West Mifflin Planning Commission; Chairman of the West Mifflin Bicentennial Committee; Chairman of the West Mifflin Memorial Day Parade and as a Borough Councilman.
Above all, Robert was a dedicated and loving father. He cherished every moment spent with his family.

His five grandchildren were a source of immense pride and joy: Lauren Cupps (Steven); Kristen Fox (Alan); Dr. Jeffrey Bergman (Ciara); Kelly Bergman, and Benjamin Moses.
