Scot A. Heid, of West Mifflin, formerly of Appleton, WI, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 2, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Rosalind (Kreutzer) Heid; siblings, Kris Ryan and Ted Heid; as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. He was welcomed home by his parents, Ted L. and Theodora “Doris” (Vanden Heuvel) Heid; and brother, Marc Heid.
Scot, an avid Green Bay Packers fan, inherited season tickets from his father. His hometown team passion took him as far as Japan in 1998, where he, Rosalind, and friends flew to Tokyo to watch a victorious preseason game against the Chiefs. During the two years that Scot worked at PNC Park, he claimed personal responsibility for the Pirates uptick, citing wins only during his shifts.
