Shelly Lynn Hunter, age 60, of Whitaker, PA, passed away on July 11th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of fierce love, tireless hard work, and quiet generosity.
Shelly was the definition of strength and dedication. For most of her life, she balanced two jobs, working tirelessly to provide for her family without ever complaining. Yet, no matter how busy or tired she was, Shelly’s door and heart were always open. She was a woman who lived to help others, constantly finding ways to support friends, neighbors, and strangers alike, however she could.
Her greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family. Shelly raised three boys with boundless love and devotion. Her capacity to love was so vast that she also opened her home and heart to adopt a fourth son when he was a teenager, choosing to give him a place to belong and a mother’s unconditional support.
When she did find a moment for herself, Shelly loved diving into a good true crime mystery and was always eager to try new things, meeting life’s adventures with an open mind. Her warmth, her relentless work ethic, and her fiercely protective love for her family will never be forgotten.
She was the adoring mother of Cody Hunter, Ethan (Darra) Hunter, Tyler Krajacic, and Malcolm Randolph; beloved daughter of the late John "Jack" and Janet (Margo) Brennan; cherished sister of Matthew (Tara Nolan) Brennan, Denise Daugherty, Kristen Davis Carter, Kyrin Davis, and James Davis; loving aunt of Jeremy and Mellisa Daugherty, and Allison Cova; treasured best friend of Richard Migliorato; and doting pet mom of Thor, Grace, Rayna, Doodle, and her soul-dog, Ava. She is also survived by a large extended family, and many friends.
Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120 on Sunday, July 19, 2-4 & 6-8 PM and Monday, July 20, from 10 AM until the start of a Blessing Service at 10:30 AM. Inurnment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
