Shirley M. (Uhrin) DeStout

Shirley M. DeStout, of Whitaker, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024, at the age of 89.

She was the beloved wife of the late Carmen A. DeStout; daughter of the late Andrew and Alice (Karch) Uhrin; and sister of the late Dennis E. "Duke" Uhrin. She is survived by cousins; and dear friend, Gerl Ebbit.

Shirley worked at Papercraft and Duquesne University. She loved to cook, bake, and watch the Steelers.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 26, 2-4 & 6-8 PM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 10 AM at St. Rita Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. Interment at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
