Stephen W. Povazan, Jr.

Stephen W. Povazan, Jr., of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of West Homestead, passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2023, at the age of 57.

He was the husband of Sarah (Grosse) Povazan; father of Kayla, Cameron, Cassidy, Delaney, Chessa, and MollyJo Povazan; son of Agnes (Hovanec) and the late Stephen W. Povazan, Sr.; brother of Thomas (Missy) Povazan; also survived by nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Stephen was a medical helicopter mechanic, and worked for STAT MedEvac in Pittsburgh, and Medtrans in Florida as a national traveling mechanic. 

He loved bowling, weightlifting, the great outdoors and more than anything being a dad. He treasured every adventure and was an avid fisherman, dedicated Steelers fan, enjoyed spending time at the beach and getting swept up in music and dancing.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 20, 10 AM - 12 noon at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120, where a Memorial Service will take place at the conclusion of the visitation at noon. Inurnment will follow at the NATIONAL CEMETERY OF THE ALLEGHENIES, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017, at 2:30 PM. Please meet at the cemetery no later than 2:15 PM.
