Thelma (Basara) L. Chafin

Thelma L. Chafin of Baldwin Borough, beloved wife of James F. Chafin, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, at the age of 85.

Thelma was the beloved mother of James T. (Sharon) Chafin, Kathy (Tom) Wojtowicz, and Bonnie (MIke) Staab; grandmother of seven, including Caitlin, David, Hannah, Casey, Dara, Emma, and Alex; and great-grandmother of four, including Elijah, Noah, Ezekiel, and Jackson.

Thelma was a stay-at-home mom and very skilled at her craft. After the children had grown, she worked outside of the home at a day care and printing company. Thelma will be dearly missed by numerous friends and extended family members. She always had an open-door policy and many of the neighborhood children felt right at home.

A Memorial Service will be held later at the Church of the Crucified One, Homestead. Arrangements entrusted to the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120.
