Thomas James Peterson

Thomas J. Peterson passed away on January 21, 2026, at his home in West Homestead at the age of 93.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen Peterson; and son, David Peterson. He is survived by his wife, Bernadette (Starusko) Peterson; son, Patrick (Chrissy) Peterson; and grandsons, Beau and Hunter Peterson, whom he adored.

Born in Homestead, he worked at the US Steel plant for 32 years and was a Union officer for 15 years. He was also a Korean War veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was known for his quick wit and well-timed one-liners and will be truly missed.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 28, 2-4 & 6-8 PM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120, with a Blessing Service ending the vistation at 7:30 PM. Private interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
