Thomas Michael Novosel

Thomas M. Novosel, of Linesville, PA, formerly of West Mifflin, PA, passed away while surrounded by his beloved family on October 9, 2024, at the age of 59. He was the loving father of Hayden (Melissa), Sydney, and Carson Novosel; grandfather of Sage Novosel; son of the late Joseph and Albina (Mikula) Novosel; brother of Joseph Novosel, Maryann (the late Anthony) Piccioni, Diane Morrison, and Carol (Sean) Novosel; uncle of Alexandra (Max), Perris (Katie) and Anthony (his godsons),  Monti (Lisa), and Lee; and great-uncle of Elyse, Hudson, Eric, Will, Nicholas, Marina and Dominic. 

Tom was a member of the Local 5 Electrical Union for 32 years starting in May of 1991, and held his longest tenure at Sargent Electric for 32 years starting in July of 1991. During that time, he advanced through the company before helping start their Wireless Division in the mid 90’s, working his way up to General Manager within the division.

Tom was actively involved in the community of West Mifflin, where he resided, and was named WM Citizen of the Year 2014. He proudly coached basketball, baseball, softball, and football over many years for all three of his children, and ran the West Mifflin Recreational Basketball League during their active years. He was a Boy Scout leader who oversaw four Scouts, including his son, Hayden, who advanced from Bobcat to Eagle.  Tom also helped many more along the way in their Scouting careers.

Tom took pride in his vegetable gardens and decorating his house for the holidays. He liked playing cards, visiting yard sales, and carving pumpkins with his kids. He enjoyed hosting family events, especially outdoor barbeques complete with activities for everyone. He loved spending time at his Linesville house and fishing from his pontoon boat on Pymatuming Lake. 

He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 10 AM, at St. Rita Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. Condolences may be left at www.swgfuneralhome.com.
