Of New Homestead, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 17, 2025, age 94.
She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Ann (Kasko) Thomas; beloved wife of 53 years of the late Adam Piscitelli Sr.; mother of Adam (Tonya) Piscitelli Jr. of Munhall, Robin (Xiaotian) Piscitelli of Highlands, NC, Lynn (Robert) Lebedda of New Homestead, Christy (Paul) Marazzo of Harbor Springs, MI, Stacy (William) Doepken of South Side, and Lisa (late Rodney King) Piscitelli of New Homestead; loving Grammy of Adam, Anthony, Casey, Dawn, Nicole, Adam, Mikaela, Dominica, Alyssa, Nadia, Lia and the late Cara; beloved Mingy to15 great grandchildren; sister of Andrew (Carol) Thomas, Charlie (late Nino) Orsini and the late Joanne (late “Red”) Stodghill; also survived by her beloved companion party poodle, Addi.
Vern was a talented artist who had a love for art from an early age in many art mediums. She was an accomplished interior designer. She was a former docent at Phipps Conservatory and the Carnegie Museum, an ordained minister and former member of the Munhall Garden Club. She enjoyed traveling and she loved to garden and entertain. Vern was a woman of God and held many Bible studies in her home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 1 PM, at the Homestead Park United Methodist Church. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. A Celebration of Vern’s life will be held downstairs at the conclusion of the Service. Arrangements are entrusted to SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
