Margaret "Marge" R. (Tupi) Dankovic

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Mt. Lebanon Rehab and Wellness Center (formerly Golden Living Center), where she resided for the last 2 ½ years, age 93.    Marge was born in Homestead, PA on September 7, 1925.  She was the daughter and youngest child of the late Andrew and Anna Tupi.  Both of her brothers died in infancy.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 ½ years, Joseph “Joe” Dankovic, daughter, Joan Kuzo, granddaughter, Sara Lovas, and son-in-law, Jim Lovas.  Marge is survived by three children, Kathy (Ken) Monyak, Jim (Debbie) Dankovic, and Mary Jo Lovas;  her grandchildren, Ken (Bonnie) Monyak, Kimberly (Curt) Shew, Mike (Sandy) Dankovic, Katie Dankovic, Becca Dankovic, Christa Kuzo, Mike Kuzo, and Christopher (Brandy) Lovas; and her great grandchildren, Natalie, Griffin, Benjamin, Emily, Sophia, Cole and Lydia, and one on the way.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and devoted Goddaughter, Karen Dargay.

Most of her life Marge lived in the house she and Joe built in Munhall.  After the children were all in school she went to work as a bookkeeper, working into her 70’s.  She and Joe loved to travel, taking many trips and cruises all over the world.  Marge was very active in her retirement years, belonging to several senior groups and card clubs, and Friday night scrabble in her years at St. Therese Plaza.  For as long as she was able Marge never missed sending greeting cards for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions to all her family and friends.  She was happiest when spending time with family. The family of Marge Dankovic would like to thank all the staff, especially her nurses and aids at Mt. Lebanon Rehab and Wellness for taking such good care of her. Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Monday 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday 10 a.m., St. Therese Church, Munhall, followed by burial at St. Anne Cemetery.
