Irene L. Kundravi passed peacefully at home on Sunday morning, January 3, 2021, at the age of 97. A life-long resident of Munhall, PA, she was reunited with her beloved husband of 44 years, Michael (d. 1991), as well as her parents Andrew and Mary (Martin) Lucas, brothers and sisters Ann Hays, Mary Kuzma, Joseph, Eugene and Frank Lucas. She is survived by her three sons, James (Marcia) Kundravi, Salem, OH, Rick (Doug Dorsch) Kundravi, Sewickly, PA, and Ron (Lynn) Kundravi, Lancaster, PA. She has 4 grandchildren, Ashley Kundravi, Patrick (Christine) Kundravi, Kara (John) Yuhaniak and Michael (Jenny) Kundravi, and 3 great grandchildren, Luke, Emma and Matthew. She will also be remembered by countless nieces and nephews as well as her neighbors, friends, and her Angels here on Earth, Laura and Ron Herbinko, Debbie and the late Bill Sharkey, Shirley Pavlischak and Lisa Ceroso, and Kathy Hall.
Irene was a member of Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church (now part of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish), a member of Thompson Run AARP # 3172, former president of the St. Therese Mothers’ Club (instrumental in the funding of the school library), an avid bowler, and a staunch Democrat. She was described as “talkative” and “always laughing” in high school, traits that she continued in her career as a PNC bank teller (Duquesne Village Branch – West Mifflin) and long past her retirement in the 90’s. Her Slovak nationality made her known for her nut roll, which she enjoyed baking and gifting to others. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
