John S. Horensky, Sr.

John S. Horensky, Sr., of Lincoln Place, passed away on August 5, 2020, at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of 73 years to Dorothy (Michel) Horensky; father of Debra (Jac Nickoloff) Horensky, Gary (Lynne) Horensky, and the late Tom (Kathy survives) Horensky and John "Jack" (Kathy survives) Horensky, Jr.; grandfather of Matt, Brian, Rachel, Philip, Brielle, Alexa, and Tom; great-grandfather of Jackson, Hadley, Trevor, Zachary, Emily, and Tyler; son of the late John and Anna (Miller) Horensky; brother of Victor and Clarence Horensky.

John flew in the Air Force on the B52 plane and was a flight navigator in WWII.  He was also an avid fisherman. 

Per John's wishes, no visitation will be held. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 21, 2020, 10:30 AM, at Holy Angels Church of the Blessed Trinity Parish, Hays. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
