On March 2, 2023, Leonard was called to his eternal reward. Leonard was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Lepolt) Stagon, the beloved son of the late Andrew and Mary (Jacko) Stagon, and brother of the late Thomas Stagon. Leonard is survived by his devoted children, Ronald (Sharon Howell) Stagon, Carolyn (Warren) Speicher, and Laura (Gregg) Morris. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Zachary Brendza, Meghan Morris, and Julia Morris. He is survived by his devoted friend Helen Romzy.
Leonard was a graduate of Munhall High School and graduated from the West Virginia Wesleyan College. He earned his master's degree in education at the University of Pittsburgh. Leonard was an educator in the Pittsburgh City School District and retired from the West Mifflin School District. Leonard was an Army Veteran, serving from 1958 to 1961 at Fort Jackson. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Cathedral. He served as president of the CAMEO Club and as a church usher. He was also a member of the Greek Catholic Union Lodge - Munhall. Leonard was an avid sports fan and loved his Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates.
Friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Monday, March 6 from 2 - 4 to 6 - 8 PM, and a Panachida will be held at 3:45 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 7th at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist Cathedral, Munhall followed by an interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Munhall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. John the Baptist Cathedral, Greentree Road., Munhall PA 15120 or the Parkinson's Foundation.
