Margaret M. (Filko) Tima

Obituary

Of Pittsburgh, passed away in her daughter Beverly’s home on February 23, 2021 at the age of 95.  Daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Janek) Filko; beloved wife of 53 years of the late Steve J. Tima Sr.; mother of Beverly (late George Kenhart) Tima and Steve J. (Janine) Tima Jr.; sister of Joe Filko and the late Mary, John and Mike Filko; loving Baba of Karen Kenhart and Samuel, Rachel and Allison Tima; also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces nephews.  Margaret was retired keypunch operator for Mesta Machine Company and a volunteer of the former St. John School in the PTA and cafeteria.  She was an active member of St. John Cathedral and the St. John Center for catering events and bingos.  She was also a member Archeparchy Diocesan Choir.  Margaret loved to sing and dance especially to polkas and czardas. The family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to AHN Hospice for their care and concern. Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Thursday March 4^th from 6-9 PM and Friday March 5^th from 2-8 PM. A Panachida Service will be held on Friday, 3 PM, at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, March 6^th at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Cathedral, Munhall.  Interment to follow at St. John Cemetery.  The Funeral Liturgy for Margaret will be live streamed at www.stjohnsbyzantinecathedral.com
