Nicholas David Ackerman

It is with great sadness that the family of Nicholas David Ackerman announce his passing on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the age of 40.

Nick was born on May 24, 1981 in West Mifflin, but grew up with friends and family in North Huntingdon.  He was active in sports and loved growing his collection of sports memorabilia. Nick was a 1999 graduate of Norwin High School and a 2005 graduate of Duquesne University.  A natural leader, Nick was proud to take his skills and personality into the auto industry.

Nick was a loyal father, son, brother, and friend.  All remember him as a fun-loving child with endless energy, who grew into a man that was truly the life of the party, and was always determined to ensure those around him were filled with joy.  He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of those he leaves behind, who were always warmly welcomed by his large smile and bear hugs and entertained by his stories and playful antics.  Constantly putting others before himself, Nick was always willing to give anyone in need the shirt off his back, had a way of making everyone feel important, and will never be forgotten. 

Nick joins his uncle Bob Sapos, in Heaven, where they are sure to be raising a glass together. Also preceding him are grandparents Frank & Josephine Ackerman and Albert & Isabelle Boyer, and Uncle Bobby Boyer.  He is survived by his parents, Dave & Debby, his children Chloe and Brayden, his sister Chelsey (Alex), his brother Jordan (Sadie), and nieces Izzy, Josie, and Emma, all of whom he loved deeply.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who are like family.

There will be no funeral services.  A celebration of Nick’s life will be held on his birthday, May 24^th.  Additional details will follow on social media.
