Thomas J. Breznai

Thomas J. Breznai, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2020 at the age of 73. He is survived by his loving daughter, Kathleen (David) Nelson; sisters, Margaret McDonald, Elisabeth Kane, and Mary Louise Veltri; brothers, Stephen and Andrew Breznai; and dear traveling companion, Lois Allen; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Breznai (Vogt); son, Richard Breznai; and parents, Thomas A. and Margaret (Stupar) Breznai. Tom earned both his bachelor's degree in science with a major in education and master of arts degree in education from Duquesne University, and retired after 30 years of teaching English at West Mifflin Area High School. He was a volunteer tutor for the Pittsburgh Literacy Council. He was a very active member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church where he served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister, enjoyed participating in their Men's Club, and volunteered much of his time to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Private services entrusted to the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Pennsylvania 15120. Interment at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, West Mifflin.
