Timothy J. Ignatz, of Munhall, formerly of West Mifflin, peacefully passed away following a valiant battle against cancer on March 3, 2024, at the age of 56.
He was the son of the late Thomas S. and Janet (Aiello) Ignatz; beloved partner of Jeffrey Jordan; brother of Thomas (Amy) and Ted Ignatz; uncle of Erica and Lauren Ignatz; great-uncle of Alex; also survived by his beloved Yorkie, LuLu.
Tim studied Music Education at Duquesne University, and went on to work for many years as a private music instructor. He was a talented organist, and previously served in several Parishes throughout the Diocese of Pittsburgh, including St. Maximilian Kolbe Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Homestead, St. Stephen Church of the St. Paul Cathedral Parish in Hazelwood, St. Philip Church of the St. Philip Catholic Parish in Crafton, and the Holy Family Parish in Verona.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 5-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 8, 10 AM, at St. Therese of Lisieux Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. Inurnment to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
