SWG Goes PINK
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness
Savolskis - Wasik - Glenn Funeral Home
will be going pink for the month of October.
All of us have been touched by the devastating effects of breast cancer, whether it be a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter or friend. As a show of our support for families that are touched by this disease, we have bathed the funeral home in pink light, adorned the entrance with pink flowers and donned our pink apparel for the month of October. We also encourage all women (and men) to perform self examinations and schedule mammograms as early detection is key to a full recovery.
If you are a cancer survivor, or battling breast cancer, or if someone you know has lost the battle, we invite you to stop in the Savolskis -Wasik - Glenn Funeral Home and sign your name or the name of a loved one to our poster in support of all our friends. If you are unable to stop, please call us at 412-462-2288 or Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add the name for you. We want you to know that you are not alone.
"As the son of a 30 year breast cancer survivor, I am well aware that the devastating effects of this disease are felt by families 365 days a year", says Wayne Collins, one of the funeral directors at SWG. "It continues to haunt those affected long after the prognosis is made, and every little lump is met with fear and anxiety. This mission is very near and dear to my heart".
As a further show of our support, the staff of Savolskis - Wasik - Glenn Funeral Home invites all breast cancer survivors and those battling the disease and their families to a Mass honoring them at St. Therese of Lisieux Church in Munhall, Wednesday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. with Fr. Nick Mastrangelo officiating. We can come together as a community to ask for God's blessing and healing grace.
The staff at Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home Inc., promise to go above and beyond your families expectations to provide compassionate, professional, and personal care to you and your loved ones funeral. We are honored to be here to guide your family through this time of need. We are privileged to serve in our community and to provide the highest standards of service. We strive to ensure that your loved ones funeral is meaningful, personal and affordable.
In 1965, the original St. Therese Church on Main Street was dismantled. On that hallowed ground we erected our funeral home to serve the people of St.Therese and our community. We have Faithfully continued that service over the last 46 years and are honored to occupy this sacred location. Our goal is to create a loving and lasting memorial for your loved one, including a Memory Portrait of your loved one and a Memorial Candle.
