SWG Goes PINK

Savolskis - Wasik - Glenn Funeral Home held its 1st annual mass for Breast Cancer Awareness last night, October 29 at St. Therese Church in Munhall. I was just a little overwhelmed last night over the outpouring of love and support that this community showed for those who are touched by this disease. St. Therese Church was literally flooded in PINK!  It all starts with an idea, and you ask yourself, "is this something the community will find value in". When I asked my co-workers the same question, they just said, "go for it, we're in". And that ship sailed full steam ahead. I would like to thank my co-workers, Mike, Ben, Alisha, Paul and even the intern, Kyra for their support and hard work to bring this event to a successful fruition. I am also grateful to Fr. Nick Mastrangelo who supported the idea 100% and jumped on board and never looked back. Also Fr. Dan Sweeney and Fr. Terry O'Connor for so willingly joining in. And a special thank you to Tom Coyne, whose music is unparalleled.  And most of all I am so grateful to the members of the Steel Valley that came to the mass and showed their support for this project. You are the most important member of this breast cancer cruise. Even though the ship may be in uncharted waters which at times may not seem navigable, know that we support you in your journey through the calm and rough waters until the ship returns to port again next October and we do it again. May God's blessings follow you throughout the year.

Welcome

The staff at Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home Inc., promise to go above and beyond your families expectations to provide compassionate, professional, and personal care to you and your loved ones funeral.  We are honored to be here to guide your family through this time of need.  We are privileged to serve in our community and to provide the highest standards of service.  We strive to ensure that your loved ones funeral is meaningful, personal and affordable.

In 1965, the original St. Therese Church on Main Street was dismantled.  On that hallowed ground we erected our funeral home to serve the people of St.Therese and our community. We have Faithfully continued that service over the last 46 years and are honored to occupy this sacred location. Our goal is to create a loving and lasting memorial for your loved one, including a Memory Portrait of your loved one and a Memorial Candle. Please check out the CUSTOMIZATION tab to see other options that are available.
