Daniel C. Tomkiewicz of Munhall, Passed peacefully at home with his loving and dedicated parents Chuck and Rita by his side.

Grandson of the late Chester and Barbara Tomkiewicz and Alvin and Eileen Kieffer; Dan is survived by his very dedicated parents Chuck and Rita (Kieffer) Tomkiewicz. Loving Aunts and Uncles Joe and Annette Fedor, Michael and Lois Klocke, Dennis Kieffer and the late Alvin and Rosalie Kieffer; Favorite cousins Joey, Maria and Lucas Fedor, David Fedor, Stephanie and Jeremy and Leah Wittenberg, Mitchell Klocke, Jennifer (Kieffer) and Bella Quigley, and the late Michael Kieffer.

Dan was 49 years old and courageously fought Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and a recent bout with covid and pneumonia. He was diagnosed with MD at 5 years old and walked until he was 10 years old. Dan went on to graduate from Edinboro University with a bachelor’s degree. He loved watching the Penguins, Pirates, and Steelers, wrestling and talking to his many friends in the neighborhood and on Facebook. Dan was a very kind, caring and loving man with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Many thanks to his many doctors and caregivers. We have never seen a stronger fighter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Association.
