John M. (Big John) Starusko III

On Saturday, December 1, 2018, formerly of West Homestead and later Mt. Lebanon, passed into the Lord’s loving arms while he was sleeping peacefully at home.  Big John was just two months shy of his 90th birthday.   Beloved husband of the late Marguerite C. Starusko, beloved and cherished father of his devoted family:  daughters Marguerite Bennett (Wayne), Evie Weber (Rich), Mary Starusko and his son John Starusko (Thao).  He is the loving Grandpap of:  Marguerite Simak, Calvin Collins, Evelyn Starusko, John Starusko, Tommy Trieu, Brittany Bennett and Ian Bennett; and great-grandchildren:  Austin Weinstein, Jordan Weinstein, Juliet Simak. He is also survived by his much beloved sisters Emma Durkin, Bernadette Peterson; Elsie Peterson, Eleanor Silletti and Anna Jane Campi; also his late sisters Marie Vereb, Pauline Straub, and Irene Shupik. He is also survived by his cherished and phenomenal caregiver and dear friend Dinora. Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home Inc., 3501 Main St. Munhall, Monday 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM where a Blessing Service will be held Tuesday 12 Noon.  In lieu of flowers, may we ask for your prayers.  And, if it pleases you, share a drink and a joke with a friend or a stuffed animal with a little one in his honor.  Big John would have wanted it that way.
