Richard N. Lesko, of West Mifflin, passed away at home on May 10, 2023, at the age of 87. Son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Lepolt) Lesko; beloved husband of 62 years of Joyce (Miller) Lesko; father of Janine (Steve) Tima, Carol (Rick) Calamera, and Lisa (Bob) DeStefano Radcliffe; brother of Frank and the late Anna Jane Lesko; loving Pap-Pap of Nikki (Mike) Milkowski and Samuel, Rachel and Allison Tima; great-Pap-Pap of Darren DeStefano and Dylan, Nathan, Khloe, and Haley Milkowski; also survived by nephew, Jeffrey; and nieces, Jennifer and the late Melissa Lesko.
Richard served in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged. He was the owner of Lesko's Cafe in West Mifflin, a retired Observer for US Steel in Homestead and retired school bus driver for Laidlaw (First Student) in the West Mifflin School District. Richard was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, Munhall, and liked watching Pittsburgh Steelers Football and Pirates Baseball games. He especially enjoyed family gatherings in his back yard with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 15, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120, where a Panachida Service will take place at 7:45 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 10 AM, at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, Munhall; interment will follow at St. John's Cathedral Cemetery, Munhall.
