Born and raised Munhall native, passed away on January 10, 2019, age 94. Beloved husband of 71 years to Dolores M. (Bosko) Ragan. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his children Thomas A. Ragan Jr. (Susan) of Lakeland, Florida, Patricia A. Dzambo (Bernard) of Southport, North Carolina, and Richard J. Ragan (Carol) of White Lake, Michigan. He is the proud grandpa of five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Douglas and Bryan Dzambo, Kristen Ragan Danis (Blake) and Lindsay Ragan, Amy Ragan Thomas and three great grandchildren, Liam and Aiden Danis, and Lexi Thomas. Step grandchildren, Shane and Alexandria Gorcyca. He was preceded in death by his beloved father and mother, John Ragan and Susan Luteran Ragan Churilla, his brothers, Fr. Regis Ragan and Bill Ragan, and sister, Florence Ragan Kairys. Thomas was a graduate of Munhall High School class of 1942. He earned a basketball scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh, where he played and graduated in 1948 with a Civil Engineering degree. Thomas worked for 38 years for American Bridge Division of US Steel. He was a Munhall Borough auditor, and an active member of the St. Michael Church Men’s Club. Thomas was a First Lieutenant in the Army serving during WWII. In his retired years, Thomas also contributed his time as a volunteer auditor for the Tri Boro Credit Union in Munhall.
