Andrew J. Banyas III

Of Munhall, on July 25, 2015, age 81.  Born in Homestead to the late Andrew J. and Catherine (Wall) Banyas Jr.; beloved husband of 59 years to Helen (McTaggart) Banyas; father of Andrew “Jack” (Jane) Banyas IV, Mark (Bobbie Jo) Banyas and Cathy (Guy) Avolio; brother of the late James (wife Martha survives) Banyas and the late Thomas (wife Lorraine survives) Banyas; also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his sister in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Andrew was an active member of St. Therese Church where he was an usher, on church council and a board member of the St. Therese Plaza.  He was a trial attorney for Zimmer-Kunz Law firm and  was a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers, a former member of the Munhall Police Commission and the past solicitor for the Munhall Zoning Board. Andrew was also a member of the #3 Munhall volunteer fire company and he was an avid hunter.  Family and friends will be received at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall on Monday 6-8 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, 10:00 AM at St. Therese Church, Munhall.
