Timothy “Tim” Wilder passed away on December 14, 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA after a long bout with chronic illness. He was 33 years old.
Tim was born on October 1, 1984 to Susan Wilder (Csider) and the late John “Jay” Wilder. He graduated from Steel Valley High School in 2003.
Tim was an interesting man to say the least. While his temperament was unwaveringly kind, he was fluent in sarcasm. Tim’s interests were also rather eclectic, ranging from Japanese Professional Wrestling to B-Tier horror movies to video games just to name a few. Tim’s fashion style could be described as “Gothic Dan Conner (of the TV show Roseanne)”, and he was rarely seen without a flannel shirt or graphic tee. Tim’s many talents included a vast knowledge of pop culture trivia and a penchant for cooking. While Tim never pursued the culinary arts professionally, he was fond of trying recipes, both new and traditional, and had been known to whip up dishes that brought slight hesitation to his younger, much pickier brothers.
Tim, a two-time liver transplant recipient, never let his illness define his personality, and his unabashed pursuits of his interests were rarely questioned by those around him due to his enthusiasm.
Tim is survived by his mother, Susan; grandmother, Eleanor Csider (Obester); sister, Kaylie; brothers, Nate, Jordan and Johnathan; his fiancé, Patricia Stevens; and his beloved dogs Pumpkin and Munson. Tim is preceded in death by his father, Jay, and many beloved pets.
