David John Puchy

Of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on October 20, 2016.  David graduated from Homestead High School in Homestead, PA, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Metallurgical Engineering. His career included projects with NASA, the Atomic Energy Commission, the Bechtel Corporation, and ultimately retirement from Rolls Royce.  David is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Anna Puchy; and his sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Raymond Kocsis.  He is survived by his brother, Edward (Ginny) Puchy of Venice, FL; loving nieces, Cheryl Rae (Jeffrey Ingersoll) Kocsis of Duquesne, PA, Gale (Thomas) Lyskava of Crown Point, IN, Kathy (Andy) Petruska of Pittsburgh, PA, and Lisa (Ritesh) Kumar of Pittsburgh, PA; great-nephews and a great-niece; great great-nephews and  great great-nieces; and loving companion, John C. Carlisle II.  David touched the lives of many people with his wit and kindness, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.  Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Saturday 9:30 am to 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Homestead.
