Debbie and Marty, my sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. Some years ago when Helen Barry passed, I wrote that the women of W. Marietta and W. Edna streets were "the Village" it takes to raise a child. You mom was a part of that village of caring, wonderful ladies that looked out for ALL the children in the neighborhood. I remember your mom fondly and always will. While it is hard sometimes to listen to our faith while grieving, there will be some comfort there. The journey through grief is a very personal one and you and your spouses, you children, her siblings will each take your own road and time (as you should). Throughout this journey know your mom was admired and loved not only by people close to her but all who knew her.
