John J. Brekosky

Of Munhall on August 29, 2016, age 90. Son of the late John and Susan (Yesko) Brekosky. Brother of Lawrence (Mary) Brekosky of West Homestead, James (late Florence) Brekosky of West Mifflin, Late Regis (wife Barbara survives) Brekosky of West Mifflin. Dear friend of Pat O’Doski of Munhall. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home Inc., 3501 Main St. Munhall Wednesday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, Funeral Mass Thursday 9:30 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church. John was a retired steelworker at US Steel in Homestead, a US Navy veteran serving in WWII, served as commander of Munhall/Whitaker VFW Post 6693 for 24 years, a member of Jednota and served as an usher at St. Maximilian Kolbe. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish or to Appalachian work camp c/o St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish.
