My dear Marilyn, Marcia, Elaine and Mrs. Yesko --

I am terribly sorry receiving the news of the passing of your Husband and of your Dad. It is always hard loosing a parent and I assume, being single, it's even harder loosing a spouse. I can only go on how my Mom reacted when Dad died. Please do remember that our loved one still and will always live in our hearts and memories. Years from now you'll have very interesting conversations with your beloved dead; something I know from fact. It will be one-sided, of course, but rewarding in its own way.

I fondly remember the first time I came to your home, Mrs. Yesko. You invited me for dinner and to watch your yet-to-be son-in-law's slides from India. Think it was India but then, I can claim age did it -- HA! HA! I was nervous but you 2 were very hospitable. There was a moment when, during the slide show, I caught Mr. Yesko's eyes and his glance was one I saw in my Dad's eyes over the years. The glance encompassed the room -- his Family, a soon-to-be addition and his friend -- "saying" how content, proud and happy he was with what he saw, with what he created and nourished. He saw me watching him; he gave me a smile and a nod, banishing my nervousness and making me happy to be part of his glance. Talked with him at your wedding, Marilyn, and got the feeling he was a man happy with his life. I'll remember him that way and am glad I had the opportunity to know him, if only for brief moments.

With my deepest sympathy to the whole Yesko Family,

Hugs from Bill
