John L. Tague, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at age 79. Paul H. Weir Jr. of West Homestead on June 7th 2026, at the age of 100. Paul was born the second son of Paul and Marie (Flowers) Weir in Mammoth, PA. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant (Hurst) High School, Class of 1943. At the age of seventeen, he volunteered as an Air Raid Warden, and at eighteen, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Adams, a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh for more than five decades, died on June 5, 2026, at the age of 85.  Alvin was born on July 7, 1940, in Homestead, Pennsylvania, the oldest son of Joseph and Margaret (Moskel) Adams. He was raised in Whitaker, where his Catholic faith took root at a young age. He enjoyed playing baseball both in grade school and high school, particularly as a catcher.
