Anna Mae (Bernd) Vamos

Of Whitaker, on February 12, 2017, age 89. Beloved wife of 68 years of the late Stephen M. Vamos; loving mother of Adele Vamos (Jim Hughes), Stephen (Sandy) Vamos, Maria (Mike) Demko and the late Barbara (husband, Jim, survives) Sturms and the late first born Stephen; cherished grandmother of Jesse (Marianne) Vamos, Rachel (David) Webb, Adam (Pam) Hughes, Angela Vamos and Maria Sturms; sister of  Alice Manfredi, Mary Lou (Joe) Falce, Gertrude Senich and the late Ruth Racko, Betty Whiteman, Edward, Russell, Charles, Walter, Clarence, Raymond and Robert Bernd; sister in law of Helen Stroka; also survived by two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.  Anna Mae was a waitress for 40 years at Michael’s Restaurant (Formerly H & H)  in Homestead, a member of St. Rita Christian Mothers and Womens Guild.  She was known for her kind spirit, generosity, loving nature and as a devout Catholic who loved her God and church.  Friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Wednesday, 1 to 8 pm.  Funeral Mass Thursday, 10:00 am, St. Rita Church, Munhall.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Mifflin Lions Club.
